On Monday morning after Easter, we received a call that Robbie's mom had been rushed to the emergency room. We eventually found out that she had suffered a stroke and that it was urgent for Robbie to return home. We were blessed to be part of a unit who had funds to fly all 4 of us home to be with Momma. After being told at 8 am that we getting on a flight at noon and packing 2 adults and 2 kids...we got on a plane. During our flight home, they tried to drain some of the blood of Momma's brain and unfortuantly, it caused another stroke - this time on the left side of her brain. By the time we arrived, all of the test indicated that the frontal lobes of Momma's brain were no longer functioning. Basically, the parts that make us who we are and give us our personality weren't working. After a few days of speaking with doctors and making arrangements, Robbie made the toughest decision of his life and decided that this was not the life that his mother would want. She passed away Friday, April 9th at 5:30pm. We are blessed to have wonderful family and friends who traveled many miles to be with us and family who were there to comfort us. We both know that Momma is now with the Lord and enjoying life in Heaven but it was hard to let her go. We are also grateful that ALL of us got to go home and be with our family. We never thought that we would lose her while we were here or that we would get a free cheap trip home. I know that the Lord had it all planned out. Each day is hard and different and we are still trying deal with everything. So that was our April!!

No Longer Private
So I took the privacy off. While it's a nice thought - too many friends and family members have had problems with it. So I will just try to censor what I write to the best of my abilities!! Enjoy following our adventures.

Blog Going Private
For all our family and friends - After lots of thought, we have decided to go private with our blog to protect our family. We still want to use our blog for everyone to see and enjoy but just want to give ourselves an added bit of protection. We hate to add this step BUT we feel like it's neccessary in order to protect our lives. The blog has become a scrapbook for our memories and we would LOVE to keep sharing this with all of you. We hope that you will continue to follow us through this. So here are the steps:
I am going to upload all of my contacts from my email. So if you are there...you are probably good to go!
If I don't have your email address already in my contacts lists, write a comment and leave me your email address. Or send me a message on facebook!!
***Please let me know if you check our blog. I know some of our readers are friends of our parents or even parents of our friends. We still want you to be able to keep up with us. Don't be shy!! We want everyone to be able to keep up with us as we go through these adventures!!***
***We will be making this change on April 1st! So please don't wait to let us know!!!!
