Epilepsy

Last Saturday, I came home with Gabbie and her mom's family to find that Top had gone to the bathroom on the floor. It looked like he was still trying to go so Gabbie's Mom called him outside so that I could put sleeping Lauren down. She immediately screamed for me. Top was uncontrollably shaking and couldn't put one of his paws down. He was having a seizure. This was the second time that this happened. The last time he was at my mom's and we had left him there alone for the first time. We didn't realize at that time he was having a seizure. I already had an appointment for the vet on Tuesday because his ears were bothering him. As soon as we got there, they did blood work. It turns out that Top has epilepsy. He has to take a pill twice a day to help control the seizures. It won't prevent them but will decrease the frequency, duration, and severity. Please say a little prayer. I haven't been able to tell Robbie yet and I know that this will break his heart. Top has calm down since receiving the pills and has become much easier to deal with. I'm glad that we finally found out what the problem was but I'm sad that this is the issue.
