Today is such an important day in our history that I couldn't go without recognizing it. I am proud to say I am from the United States and represent all it means in another country. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims of this important day. My heart and my prayers are with our servicemembers around the world that are defending and serving our country whether it be in combat or not. Whether you agree with the war or not, please remember these men and women as they give their lives to defend our freedoms and allow us to live each day in the peace that we have grown to know. Also, take a minute to remember their families. Many of them are far away from them right now and it can be hard on all. As one of those families, we serve as much as they do and are proud to do it. I might not have enlisted but I too serve my country by the time and heartache that my children and I give up away from their father and my husband so that he can perform his job. I am so proud of him and all he stands for. He took an oath to serve and defend and I am proud of all his has accomplished and continues to. I will gladly continue serving right beside him as he is such an inspiration to me and our children. With all that said, please take a minute and remember all.
