Still Waiting

Still waiting...I guess the water is still too bad for them to get here...Not sure where they are at but it's looking like it could be later in the week before he's home...Gotta love typhoons, especially when they aren't even hitting you but are messing up your waters!!! Please keep him in your prayers!!! Well us too so that we don't go insane!!!

Waiting

There's nothing new really going on here. We are just waiting. Have you ever watched a pot full of water start to boil? I feel like that...it's taking forever. Robbie was supposed to be back yesterday...he's delayed...so much for government travel and a typhoon in the China Sea. We are waiting now...we don't know when they will get here. I am impatient, Gabbie (who hasn't seen him in 3 months) is impatient, and even Lulu is getting impatient. Lulu and I tried to go to Baby Yoga today. She cried and fought through most of it. Even though the instructor tried to reassure me that it is normal at the beginning and she'll catch on, I was so embarrassed. We'll see how next week goes. Everyone pray. Hopefully, I'll know whether I'll get to see my husband tomorrow or if I have to wait till the weekend or longer...I'm praying for tomorrow...I miss him.

**Sorry, no pictures...we haven't really had anything to take pics of! and like I said above, we're impatient!! We'll post some soon!

Lulu Pics and Potty Stories

Mommy and Lulu

Sisters playing

I put Lulu's hair in pigtails today. Aren't they cute??

Watching Sesame Street while eating breakfast!

Lulu pee'd in her toliet tonight. I know it's crazy but right before bath she started to try to pee on the floor so I put her on the toliet and she finished there.

Before everyone thinks I'm crazy for already having a potty, things are hard to come by here on the island so when you see it you buy it. I said that I needed to get one the next time I saw it and Gabbie's mom found one when she was at Kadena the other day so she got for Lulu.

Camp Kinser Festival

Saturday we went down to Camp Kinser to their Festival and enjoyed the activities!

A group of Japanese kids dancing and playing instruments

Aren't they cute?

There were four dogs. They each had 2 boys in them and they jumped and wagged their tails. Lulu loved to watch them. I was amazed at the flexibility of the children. I wish I could have gotten a video of them! Maybe at the next festival.

More Japanese kids

Gabbie waiting to do the rock climb

Gabbie got half way up and got stuck and scared. She was moving so quickly before that.

Gabbie is in the spaceship and they close the openings and the air pushes her up!

Gabbie is almost at the top!

Epilepsy

Last Saturday, I came home with Gabbie and her mom's family to find that Top had gone to the bathroom on the floor. It looked like he was still trying to go so Gabbie's Mom called him outside so that I could put sleeping Lauren down. She immediately screamed for me. Top was uncontrollably shaking and couldn't put one of his paws down. He was having a seizure. This was the second time that this happened. The last time he was at my mom's and we had left him there alone for the first time. We didn't realize at that time he was having a seizure. I already had an appointment for the vet on Tuesday because his ears were bothering him. As soon as we got there, they did blood work. It turns out that Top has epilepsy. He has to take a pill twice a day to help control the seizures. It won't prevent them but will decrease the frequency, duration, and severity. Please say a little prayer. I haven't been able to tell Robbie yet and I know that this will break his heart. Top has calm down since receiving the pills and has become much easier to deal with. I'm glad that we finally found out what the problem was but I'm sad that this is the issue.

An Important Day

Today is such an important day in our history that I couldn't go without recognizing it. I am proud to say I am from the United States and represent all it means in another country. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims of this important day. My heart and my prayers are with our servicemembers around the world that are defending and serving our country whether it be in combat or not. Whether you agree with the war or not, please remember these men and women as they give their lives to defend our freedoms and allow us to live each day in the peace that we have grown to know. Also, take a minute to remember their families. Many of them are far away from them right now and it can be hard on all. As one of those families, we serve as much as they do and are proud to do it. I might not have enlisted but I too serve my country by the time and heartache that my children and I give up away from their father and my husband so that he can perform his job. I am so proud of him and all he stands for. He took an oath to serve and defend and I am proud of all his has accomplished and continues to. I will gladly continue serving right beside him as he is such an inspiration to me and our children. With all that said, please take a minute and remember all.

Teething

Lulu has 4 teeth coming at the same time. No, I am not kidding...Can anyone say driving me to drink?? Just kidding. She has been awful for the past couple of days, poor thing, it's hard to get mad at her though. I saw and felt two of them the other night. Tonight on our way to Chili's, Candy (Gabbie's Mom) felt two more. Lulu has been having major breakdowns the past two days, now we know why. Please say a little prayer that we make it till Robbie gets back. Hopefully, I can get some pictures but with Lu it's hard sometimes. Also, I need to say a little thank you to Gabbie's mom and stepdad, they just got here last week and have helped me from time to time to get Lulu to calm down especially when I have been at my wits end!! Hope all is well with you. We are also preparing for a typhoon (the asian version of a hurricane) so please say a little prayer for us! Love you all!

Look Who Finally Got Here...

I wish that I could have videotaped Lulu at the air base. Unfortunately the arrival area is very small and everyone is crowded in this tiny room so when they come through the door you connect and walk straight the car. Lulu saw her Aunt Candy when they came through the door and smiled but didn't see Gabbie yet. Gabbie was struggling with her cart so I pushed the cart and she pushed the stroller and started talking to Lulu. Once Lulu saw Gabbie's face, feet were flying shrieks were going and laughter and name calling were all you could hear. It was like that from the ride from the air base to Camp Foster. It was so heartwarming. I wish you all could have shared it! Here are some pictures from that past couple of days...
Gabbie & Lulu playing with her car

Lulu giving Gabbie a kiss (and yes it's open mouth - we're working on it)

Gabbie playing the Wii - you knew that was gonna happen the first day!

Me and My girls - oh how it's great to be together again...we miss Daddy though!

I would like everyone to check Lulu's hair out. I finally got it to stay in the rubberband in a ponytail. She didn't even try to pull it out! We are excited!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Birthday Mom! I know it's not quite your birthday over there yet but it is here! I hope that you have a great day!! Know that we love and miss you!!! Enjoy your present!

12 Month Appointment

Even though it's kinda late, we finally got an appointment. Here are her stats:

  • Weight: 21 lbs 15oz
  • Height: 29 1/2 inches
  • Head: 44cm

Poor little one, she had 3 shots and then had to have some blood work done. Needless to say, she is down for a long nap!! She is very healthy and the doctor was impressed with all of her skills. I just wish that she had behaved and hadn't shown herself but then again if I had to get that many shots I would have probably been a handful too!
